The incredible journey of Crave to care

I am Srivyshnavi N S, founder of Crave to care. 

How it all started?

I always had a vague motive of owning a business that relies on manufacturing a unique, safe product that turns into a solution for people around me to overcome a problem. But I couldn't figure out how to get started. 

After completing my master's in Biotechnology, I shuffled between doing a PhD (my ambition) and finding a job (to earn money). I came to my hometown with a hazy hope that at least the peace of this place would help me decide what to do next.

One fine day in my hometown, my childhood friend and I talked in a vacant space on the ground floor of my grandparents' house after the tenant left. That's when the idea to use the space for a skincare manufacturing business came to me.

The spark doesn't come all of a sudden:

In 2022, I had a skin issue that caused an itching sensation throughout my body. It's not as simple as you read here, but the redness and clumps of blisters on my skin were harsh.

This is not because of any skincare products I used. It is because of being exposed to a polluted environment, like allergy-causing plants on the roadside, when I collected a sample to do my project during M.Sc.Bitechnology. While I was suffering from this condition, I realised the need for a perfect skincare routine to guard our skin before stepping into this polluted environment.

After a solid month, my healthy food habits and the application of gentle, nourishing oils and butters to my skin recovered me. This is one of the reasons behind the bloom of "Crave to care."

Why did I start a Skincare brand? 

Since childhood, I wondered why people use skincare products. Is it to gain confidence? Glow up? To protect skin? Or just to mimic on-screen stars?

Whenever I try buying cheap to costly skin care products and apply them on my face, within a few days to one day, I get allergic clumps of acne or bumps on my skin. When I stop applying it, I slowly get healed.

This experience made me think that although a specific skin needs suitable care, why should one or other skin type face side effects? Why do not all skincare product suits everyone by being gentle and leaving no side effects? If not, why ain't they providing instructions with proper labeling for a layman in skincare?

To solve this issue, I envisioned formulating gentle and subtle skincare products by showing real care to all skin types. I made clear that every customer from amateur to expert in skincare shouldn't get side effects. This sowed the seed to develop our brand called "Crave to care" on 5th April 2024.
